On the evening of June 11, XPeng Motor officially released its latest model - XPeng G7. This car is known as the world's first AI car with L3-level computing power. Its biggest highlight lies in the installation of XPeng’s self-developed Turing AI chip, which has a computational capability equivalent to three Orin-X chips, showcasing XPeng's technical advantages in the intelligent vehicle field. The XPeng G7 is equipped with a powerful 40-core processor that can run up to 30B simulation parameters and features two self-developed neural network processors.

XPeng Motors announced that its self-developed Turing AI chip, designed to support Level 4 autonomous driving capabilities, is slated for mass production in 2025.

Recent reports suggest XPeng is internally developing a new technology called "Crowdsourced Mapping," aiming to enhance the accuracy of its autonomous driving system's navigation. This technology, in its preliminary research phase after several months of development, could potentially supplement XPeng's Level 3 autonomous driving solution. The core of crowdsourced mapping lies in the collaborative effort of multiple vehicles to collect road data in real-time, dynamically generating and updating maps. This approach offers the advantage of covering areas inaccessible to sensors, providing the intelligent driving system with more comprehensive data.

XPeng Motors held an AI technology sharing session in Hong Kong yesterday, unveiling its newly developed 720-billion-parameter large-scale autonomous driving model – the "XPeng World" base model. This model features a multi-modal architecture, integrating visual understanding, chain reasoning, and action generation capabilities. It aims to be deployed to vehicle-end devices via cloud distillation technology and simultaneously empower ecological products such as AI robots and flying cars.
